Proxies that support searching on Google are called Google proxy. Many SEO (Search Engine Optimization) programs make large number of queries on Google to get information such as ranks and competitors. They should use a Google proxy to avoid being banned by Google.
Google Verification Page
If your IP is suspect, Google may show a page to verify that you are a human instead of robot. Google allow using proxies as long as you can pass this human verification.
You can submit the characters in the picture to continue to use Google search. However your SEO program usually can’t do that as you. You can’t use that proxy to search Google in your SEO program. You have to find clean proxies so that Google won’t show that verification page.
How to Check Google Proxy
How to find those clean proxies? The professional edition of Elite Proxy Switcher 1.20 has the feature. It can check whether a proxy supports searching on Google. You can then export the Google proxies into a text file by ctrl+c and ctrl+v so that your SEO program can use them. If you manually use the proxy to search on Google, you need not to test this feature. It’s because you can easily pass the human verification.
Google Blocks Proxy
Some proxies may become Google proxy if someone passes that verification using it. This entitles the proxy to use Google for some time. After a while it needs verification again. It’s why the testing result of some proxy may change from time to time. However not every proxy can become Google proxy. Google blocks some proxies permanently because of the serious abuse. If you are using those proxies on Google, you will see this page.
Google Proxy is Precious
We tested 2540 proxies. There are only 67 Google proxies among the 718 working proxies. Google proxy is really precious.

Unblock websites: In some companies or countries (ex. China, Egypt and Iran) the management blocks some websites (ex. facebook and youtube). My IP Hide can unblock the sites. It uses encrypted connections to bypass the firewall as well as content filtering system while ordinary proxy can only bypass IP/domain block.

Here is a tutorial with pictures showing how to set proxy for your browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox) step by step. It’s similar to set proxy for other browsers such as safari and opera.
Set Proxy in Internet Explorer (IE)
1) Click the Tools -> Internet Options in Internet Explorer to get to the following screen:
2) Click the Connections tab and then LAN Settings.
3) Select Use a proxy server and enter your proxy server IP Address and Port into the field. Click OK and the proxy server is now set. For example, the proxy is 184.108.40.206:8080. You should input it like this.
Set Proxy Server in Chrome
Google Chrome uses the system proxy settings. That is, it uses the same proxy as IE. So you can use the same method as IE to set proxy for Chrome. You can also click the Chrome menu Setting -> Under the Hood -> Network -> Changing proxy settings. It will popup the same proxy setting dialog as IE.
Set Proxy Server in Firefox
1) Click the Tools -> Options in Firefox to get to the following screen:
2) Click the Advanced -> Network -> Settings.
3) Select Manual proxy configuration and fill in the proxy IP and port. However, it’s a good choice to use system proxy settings in most cases.
Use EPS to Set Proxy for IE, Chrome and Firefox
If you need to change proxy frequently, it will be boring to do the repetitive things. Elite Proxy Switcher is a good tool to help you. Double click the proxy in the list and that’s all. Elite Proxy Switcher will do all the work above for you, both for Firefox and IE.
If you get few working proxy or it takes too long to test the proxies in Elite Proxy Switcher or Socks Proxy Checker, you should use this patch. Moreover after installing the patch you can set the Max Thread from the default 8 to 24 which can boost the testing speed by 3 times.
For Windows 7 and Vista SP2 Microsoft removed the connection limit in Windows 7 and Vista SP2, you do not need this patch any more.
Open TCP-Z (tcpz.exe) -> Click the tab Patch -> Patch Memory -> Set the New Value to 100 -> Apply -> Keep TCP-Z running. You need to use TCP-Z every time before testing the proxies.

Forum Proxy Leecher (FPL) is an intelligent proxy leecher that can extract proxies from various proxy sites and proxy forums even if the proxies are in the attachment.
1) Logged into the forums with Internet Explorer (not Firefox or Opera). 2) Please select “Log me on automatically each visit” when login. 3) Use IE to view the topics to make sure you have the right to see the proxies 4) Click the “Start” button in FPL to start leech that forum.
After you login the forums, FPL can read your account information from IE. In fact FPL tries to act just as IE. It’s same for the forum whether you use FPL to leech or open another IE to read the topics one by one from the forum. Here is a video tutorial showing its basic functions.
